STAFF REPORT LHR: A capacity building programme titled as “Skills for Biogas Plants” has been instigated by Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF). The program is aimed at development of skills of professionals in installation of Biogas units in order to promote the renewable energy technologies in rural and remote areas of the province. This programme is a benchmark to support the rural communities of Punjab with the availability of low cost energy.


The program is the outcome of joint collaboration of Reon Enegy Solutions and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Abbottabad. Almost 700 trainees from Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Khanewal were familiarized with latest techniques used in Bio Gas plant installation in an orientation session. Supervisors and technicians were equipped with the state of the art skills and training mandatory for execution during the installation of renewable energy units in the field. Certificates and scholarships were awarded on conclusion of the training.
