Government will be offering subsidy on DAP fertilizer to 52 lakh farmers in Punjab, under the Khadam-e- Punjab Kissan package stated spokesperson Punjab Agriculture Department.
Subsidy will be in the form of vouchers sealed in bags of DAP fertilizer. Farmers or investors will type voucher number, CNIC number, and SMS it to 8070. After receiving verification message subsequently, a farmer can avail a subsidy of Rs 150 per voucher from mobile cash agents.
A farmer can get subsidy vouchers for 20 bags of DAP fertilizer. This subsidy is for all farmers registered under the Kissan package. Unregistered farmers to register can contact Agriculture Helpline toll-free numbers 0800-15000 & 0800-29000 and avail subsidy scheme.
Agriculture Department spokesman further showed that subsidy scheme will reduce cost of production of farmer and DAP fertilizer usage to increase per acre yield of crops.
