Digitized traffic awareness app; RASTA in Lahore

Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and other private associations have ventured in to offer digitized solutions went for limited issues for a local audience, as nation enters another period of progressions in the field of information technology.

App by its traffic advisory and route planning feature with live traffic alerts supported by Google Maps helping the users.

Private software houses started appearing on the country’s IT landscape immediate after digital revolution while developing apps and games, portraying a positive image across the world not imagined earlier.

Technological developments have played a vital role whether games like Extreme Air Combat and sporting apps like Cricingif, or government-built applications like Pakistan Railways, or even public service apps like NADRA. Pakistan rustled into the race for best developers in the world, and also started changes in the orthodox methods of the international community in favors to observations about Pakistan, by anticipating its rich culture that is clearly uttered in its apps and games like Run Sheeda Run.

Numerous public besides private software companies at work for a digitized Pakistan have turned up with apps like Pakistan e-Services for online services for vehicle verification, utility bills, online FIR and much more, whereas developers linger to make country proud internationally.,

United Team Network Technologies, in collaboration with the City Traffic Police of Lahore (CTPL), has implemented an innovative project, ‘Road and Street Traffic Awareness’ (RASTA), to help folks more than 11 million as part of country’s digitization efforts.

Punjab Information Technology Board collaborated with the CTPL to launch RASTA app that only available for Android users regarding traffic awareness program to Google Play Store.

App offers features in both English and Urdu to user to apply for an e-license, pay traffic challans, make emergency phone calls to rescue services, verify driving licenses and even report complaints and incidents so far. With the help of live traffic alerts supported by Google Maps, it also facilitates users through its traffic advisory and route planning feature.
