STAFF REPORT KHI: The Foundation for Diffusion of Scientific Knowledge (FDSK) has organised the FDSK Interactive Science Gallery at Pakistan Maritime Museum Karsaz.


“Being the first-of-its-kind in the city, FDSK Interactive Science Gallery showcases a combination of basic and applied sciences: there are pulleys and gears to illustrate the basic machines, fun optics, energy-generation exhibits and water-related exhibits,” said a spokesperson of the Foundation.


She also said that science videos are also being shown in the gallery as well as in the auditorium. An interactive Sundial has also been constructed in the lawn of the


museum.


This gallery has been established by the voluntary efforts of the citizens of Karachi under the banner of Foundation for Diffusion of Scientific Knowledge. Foundation for Diffusion of Scientific Knowledge is a charitable Trust which is striving to establish Science Centres and Museums across the country, she maintained.


“The FDSKs mission is to present science and technology in ways which will entertain, educate and inspire the youth to appreciate and undertake scientific inquiry and research, as well as motivate parents and entrepreneurs into investing in scientific and technological education and research, paving the way for a brighter and a more prosperous future,” she said.
