France helps Pak student research work

STAFF REPORT QTA: French Ambassador at Pakistan Philippe Thiebaub has said that only sustainable development in the energy sector could guarantee prosperity and socio-economic uplift of the countries. France is extending all-out support to the Pakistani students in carrying out research work.
He said this while addressing a closing ceremony of “Travelling Expo” recently held at Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) under the aegis of Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) here.
PSF Chairman Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro and Vice Chancellor BUITEMS Engineer Ahmed Farooq Bazai were also present on the occasion.
“Globalization has shrunk the countries increasing their dependence on each other,” said Philippe adding countries are extending their cooperation in different fields in which efforts for sustainable development in energy sector is among the top most areas of collaboration.
He further said that overcoming the power crisis is indispensable for socio-economic development in the world. Lauding the role of educational institutes for carrying out research in the power sector, he said that France is extending its all-out support to the varsities in Pakistan through PSC in this connection.
