There was a mini-tornado in Islamabad around G-13 sector indicating harsh weather pattern in the years to come said the experts.

They urged the ministry of climate change to coordinate with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) to find out change in the weather conditions.

Zulfiqar Haider, an expert, confirmed about another mini tornado in Chakri area some days back. So, this kind of situation needs attention from government and PMD.

“The PMD can know the real facts behind mini tornadoes. Without wasting any time and focus on this issue,” he said. He further said mini-tornado produced heavy rainfall in the capital accompanied by strong winds, adding “Installation of advanced observatories and weather radar are essential to keep night watch over weather patterns.”
