The government of Pakistan kicked off another persuasive drive and launched its own mineral water called “Safe Drinking Water” to cut costs as part of the government’s austerity constrain.

He stated that, the Pakistan Council of Research and Water Resources (PCRWR) have prepared a 500 ml safe drinking water bottles that will first be used at the Prime Minister’s Office, President House and Parliament House after which it will be made accessible to the general public.

Earlier in July, the Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) told parliamentary committee that all bottled water companies operating in Pakistan were selling “artificial” water instead of natural water. 

Keeping the consideration, Pakistan Council of Research and Water Resources (PCRWR) have collected water samples from around the country for the inspection, adding that the ratio of salts in the water was examined in the survey.

According to the proportions of salts in water samples collected from all tehsils, water plants would be established in these areas with the help of private companies with the easy installments loans to people so that cheap and quality drinking water is available throughout the country, he added.
