The University of Karachi, Industrial Analytical Center (IAC) of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), finally succeeded to obtain accreditation from the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology’s Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC).

IAC would conduct Halal testing to analyze the non-Halal ingredients in foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products.

Industrial Analytical Center of the H.E.J Research Institute of Chemistry has become the only analytical entity in the country offering a variety of analytical and consultancy services to more than 500 industries and other private and public-sector organizations. He stated that IAC is a commercial entity which works under the auspicious of H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry – ICCBS.

The PNAC Laboratory Accreditation Scheme accredits laboratories that conduct tests in various fields of testing, including microbiological, chemical, food, construction, and construction products, electrical, environmental, textiles, petrochemicals, and pharmaceuticals

Calibration laboratories support the work of other accredited testing laboratories, as well as provide accurate measurement and tractability to the manufacturing sector, engineering sector, construction sector, and equipment makers, he added.
