HEC & Huawei planned 4th ICT competition in Pak

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with Huawei Technologies have planned to hold 4th ICT Competition in Pakistan.

HEC & Huawei planned 4th ICT competition in PakThe purpose of this competion is to promote the ICT industry’s technology certification and develop a local ICT talent and ecosystem.

Meeting was held regarding competition with Acting Executive Director HEC Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri and Managing Director Huawei Technologies Pakistan Gaoweijie at the HEC Secretariat. The meeting was also attended by Director Huawei Public and Corporate Naiz Ali Shahrukh and other officials from both the sides.

Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri announced to establish eight new Huawei ICT academies in addition to up gradation of the existing four ICT academies in view of promoting ICT in the country.

He stressed the need for planning a proactive campaign to attract maximum students to get benefit from the competition. He appreciated the alliance between the HEC and Huawei and expected that the competition will further strengthen the mutual efforts for promotion of ICT.

He highlighted the Huawei’s alliance with the HEC in the fields of 5G and artificial intelligence as a vital step towards advancing. He assured Huawei of extending full support in professional training of students and helping transform the education system of Pakistan.

Naiz Ali Shahrukh highlighted the importance of 4th ICT competition in the meeting. He said that Huawei will requests to all colleges and universities in Pakistan for participating in the ICT competition which is a part of Huawei’s longstanding effort for development of ICT industry in the country. The ICT competition offers students additional opportunities to gain valuable experience in the industry.
