HEC, Microsoft Imagine Cup 2019 is live again

At the commission secretariat ceremony the fundamental initiatives kickoff by HEC, Microsoft and few Pakistani Universities. HEC and Microsoft launched Imagine Cup and HEC signed MoU with universities to collaborate for EduTv.

HEC, Microsoft Imagine Cup 2019 is live again

Imagine Cup is aimed to convert skill development, look after technologists and promote collaborative and innovative courage. The global technology competition boasts numerous success stories fledgling and continues to bolster innovation among students.

The winner team will represent Pakistan at the upcoming international finals to compete among global teams for a USD $100,000 prize.

The ceremony also manifests signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HEC and five universities for teamwork in execution of HEC EduTV.

It includes Lahore Garrison College, Riphah International University, Islamabad, (SZABIST) Shaheed Zulfiqat Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, Sindh Madrasatul Islam, Karachi, and last one University of Gujrat.

The Chairman HEC Dr. Tariq Banuri said that “Imagination is not about technology, it is all about us the human beings. It plays a fundamental role in solving problems and the use of technology is essential to turn up imaginations.”

The Microsoft’s Country Manager Abid Zaidi said that Pakistani students are the agents of revolution and they require the accurate set of tools to succeed, thus Microsoft wants to sanction students and facilitate them to shape the future.

Dr. Tariq Banuri, Chairman HEC embellished the juncture as chief guest. Lieutenant General (r) Muhammad Asghar, Executive Director HEC, Abid Zaidi, Country Manager Microsoft, Mike Yeah, Assistant General Counsel, Microsoft, Middle East and a number of Vice Chancellors, faculty members and students were also commenced.
