STAFF REPORT IBD: Intel Pakistan has organized the Intel Education Awards Ceremony in Islamabad, under the Intel Education Initiative, in order to recognize the impressive performance of outstanding schools and teachers across Pakistan.

Of all the participants in the Intel Teach Programme contest, 15 won awards, in recognition of their accomplishments in implementing technology to promote inquiry-based learning.

“Teachers and schools who are able to integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum deserve to be rewarded for their innovative teaching practices. Over the last few years, we have noticed teachers motivate and transform their students by making them use technology as a tool to enhance their skills, empowering them to compete in the real world,” said Naveed Siraj, Country Manager, Intel Pakistan.

He said that Intel Pakistan and the government work in sync with each other to train teachers across the nation to develop technology proficiency, a necessity for the 21st century.

The Intel Education Awards are held annually in Pakistan to celebrate, and reiterate, the importance of technology in the classroom. The award aims to appreciate and encourage teachers to use technology to enhance skills amongst students.

The Intel Teach Programme is designed to enable teachers to effectively use technology to enhance students learning in the digital world.  Intel to date has trained more than 325,000 teachers in Pakistan.
