The recent disruption on an internet due to submarine cable fault has caused a delay in 8 domestic and international flights by Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Pakistan.

The in main submarine cable near Jeddah was the root cause of this disruption, an official of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said.

Two domestic and six international flights in capital’s airport were canceled due to interruption along with other internet based activities.

The slow internet connection was not in a position to confirm flight schedule and bookings that resulted in flight cancellation said an aviation official.

He also added that on full restoration of internet services air traffic will also be restored.
