Many agricultural crops of Pakistan are badly affected by the mounting grasshopper’s locusts hit. The swarms of locusts have spread to many cities and districts.

The first attack of locusts emerged on Balochistan , Sindh and its districts Dadu, Matiari, Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Naushehro Feroze and Sanghar after this now enters in Punjab.

The swarm of locusts has attacked on the Punjab prepared yield in the village Chak 219 of Rahim Yar Khan district. To halt this looming locust attack many proficient experts and the agriculture department officials began spray on the swarms.

The hopper’s hit on agricultural succumb in Sindh, Punjab and Baluchistan was due to increase of humidity in the weather. It is pertinent to mention here that locusts in very excessive quantity have played destruction by eating crops of farmers.

As cotton and cotton products are the main element of Pakistan’s export. Considering this, Pakistan’s crucial cotton crop is under threat and is vigorously endangering the critical safeguards.

The locust attack has happened after a period of almost 22 years and is damaging the entire crops in no time. There’s a need of hour for more scientific research about the potential of the looming locusts to cause harm to the crops as well as mitigation measures against them.
