I want to bring the issue regarding Chinese Government Scholarship 2012 in your notice.
Few weeks ago Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, had announced Chinese Government Scholarships Programme (CGSP) 2012 intake.
Many students sent their applications after doing medical test, attesting their documents from notary public and paying the application processing fee. It cost minimum Rs. 5000.
Now HEC on their website: http://www.hec.gov.pk/ffsp says: “As per directives of Cabinet Division dated 22-02-2012, the Cultural Exchange Scholarship Programme for the Academic Year 2012 offered by the Embassy of China has been transferred to the Ministry of IPC, Islamabad.
Applicants are requested to please contact the Ministry of IPC, Islamabad, for further inquiries regarding Chinese Govt Scholarship Programme.”
I contacted IPC regarding the scholarship status. They told me, they already sent their selected candidates to avail the Cultural Exchange Scholarship 2012 and they don’t have any knowledge about CGSP. When I went to HEC and asked from the focal person at HEC, he said that it has been officially transferred to IPC. We have no idea what is going on.
It is requested to all CGSP 2012 candidates to come forward and take a legal action.
