STAFF REPORT ISB: The branchless banking service Mobicash is gaining popularity in Pakistan and sensing this, NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL) has signed an agreement to launch this service on NADRA e-Sahulat platform. This will allow Mobicash customers to use e-sahulat booths across Pakistan for payment of utility bills, money transactions, loan repayments, open of new mobile accounts and several other features.


The formal agreement signing ceremony was held. The representatives of both the organizations inked the agreement in the presence of other dignitaries. Saleem Rafik, Director General Operations NTL stated on the occasion, “NADRA e-Sahulat franchise model was the first platform to offer electronic payment of utility bills in Pakistan. He further explained, “NTL believes in collaborations and Mobicash is a strategic partner for providing digital services in Pakistan. The collaboration with Mobicash is a giant step towards adding a portfolio of branchless banking services in to our e-Sahulat platform. Our joint network will enable domestic remittance and other Branchless Banking services for the convenience of public. The joint venture will facilitate banking industry for financial inclusion in the larger national interest”.


“The e-Sahulat platform is the first practical step towards electronic banking and with this agreement a common goal of providing micro-finance services to rural and under privileged areas of the country could be swiftly attained”, the senior official of Mobicash said on the occasion.
