STAFF REPORT KHI: Trade between China and Pakistan is increasing and its volume will cross dollars 15 billion by the year 2015. “There is a great scope of bilateral trade and investment in many sectors.


President FPCCI Zubair Ahmed Malik said this while speaking at a meeting with Chinese Ambassador, Sun Weidong, who visited FPCCI Head Office along with Consul General of China at Karachi.


On the occasion, Zubair said that FPCCI is committed for increasing interaction between the business communities of both the countries in coordination with CCPIT, China. For this purpose, our two representative offices are functional in Kunming and Chengdu.


FPCCIs President-elect Zakaria Usman said FPCCI is actively engaged in various trade promotional activities in China by holding trade fairs and exchange of trade delegations.


The Chinese Ambassador said that the trade and economic relations with Pakistan are very important for China.


He said that last year the Chinese Premier met the Prime Minister of Pakistan and discussed the issues of bilateral trade and economic relationship between both the countries.


He also discussed the economic corridor from Kashghar to Gwadar which will enhance the trade between China and Pakistan. This economic corridor will change the socio-economic landscape of the region.
