STAFF REPORT LHR: The Department of Microbiology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organized one-day “Master Trainer Programme for Laboratory Bio-safety and Risk Management” under a research project titled as Viral and Hemorrhagic Fever Disease Surveillance, Diagnostic Testing and Laboratory Capacity Building in Pakistan. The workshop objective was to give a stage to national and worldwide specialists of human and veterinary health to take an interest and share their insight and involvement in bio-dangers connected with rising pathogens of human and animal origin. The project is financed by NAMRU-3, Egypt.


Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha led the session and dispersed endorsements among the workshop members. Talking on the event, Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that such sort of tutoring and training projects will assist us with advancing linkages with the educated community and industry and give a stage to researchers and scientists to share their insight and encounters.


Prof Dr Tahir Yaqub, Prof Dr Zarfashan Tahir, employees, analysts, researchers, and laboratory supervisors from veterinary and general health related foundations/associations were likewise present.
