STAFF REPORT ISB: The recently arranged Annual Travelling Nature Carnival of the World Wide Fund for Nature – Pakistan (WWF – Pakistan) pulled a large number of visitors from the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.


Purpose of the event was to create awareness about conservation of nature among students and general public through interactive games and competitions.


Students from as many as 100 educational institutions of various cities including Rawalpindi, Islamabad Abbotabad, Nowshera, Kharian, Jhelum and Peshawar participated in the carnival.


The WWF has been working on environmental education for the last two decades and collaborating with various private organizations to promote its School Environment Programme for two years. The Travelling Nature Carnival is an integral part of its school outreach.


More than 110 project stalls were set up on various themes.
