STAFF REPORT ISB: Pakistans largest Maths Olympiad has been concluded successfully. Shahryar Khan, a student of the OPF Boys College, H-8, has secured top position in the Inter-School Math Olympiad (ISMO) in the category of 6th class students.


The ISMO, the Pakistans largest Maths Olympiad, was arranged at a local private school the other day. A total of 10,655 students participated in the event.Shahryar clinched the top position by beating 2,700 students of 6th class. He was awarded with a shield and a cash prize of Rs 40,000 by Minister of State for Federal Education Balighur Rehman at a ceremony in Islamabad. Shahryar attributed his success to his parents, OPF College principal and his mathematics teachers who, according to him, made him able to clinch such a distinction.
