For the very first of its kind actions by the government of Pakistan is to implement the E-commerce policy in the country to increase and creates job opportunities and to bolster the country’s export.

The draft of e-commerce policy will be presented in the cabinet meeting for considerations. Proposal for regulating the e-commerce policy will be given in the proposed policy.

The policy carries the proposal to build effective road and rail network for local and across the border transactions. The proposal will also be tabled for establishment of international gateway to make payments under the policy and the obligatory registration of online business with SECP.

As we all acknowledged that the e-commerce is the primary sector to take advantages in the local market and reputable, prominent B2B websites. However, Pakistan is one of the fastest growing e-commerce countries with more payments gateways and increasing coverage of 3G and 4G networks.

Pakistan could soon become one of the future destinations of emerging B2C E-Commerce once it’s polished accurately. Considering this the policy will be the necessity of the country to stay ahead in the race of this platform.

Pakistan’s e-commerce sales are expected to reach 1 billion US dollars by 2020 so that prominently highlights the growth opportunities in Pakistan.
