Electronic Money Order (EMO) service for speedy transfer of funds launched by Minister of State for Communications and Postal Services ‘Murad Saeed’.

Murad Saeed inaugurated the EMO service in Islamabad through which money up to Rs50,000 can be transferred at very ostensible charges ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 600 and same day launched the delivery service of Pakistan Post in 25 major cities of the country.

At the start this service is being started at 93 General Post Offices across Pakistan and will be extended to other post offices afterward. The service will allow customers for quickly transferring money within the country. 

Government plans to digitalize the postal services for providing modern and fastest facilities to the consumers. Pakistan Post is going towards e-commerce, rebranding, mobile money order and enhanced logistic facilities via network of 13, 000 post offices across the country.

Electronic Money Order (EMO) service for transfer of funds was of two types including Post-to-Post and Post to Door Step. The charges of the service were very nominal in comparison with the private sector and citizens should prefer Pakistan Postal Services.

Pakistan Post has a market of 80 billion rupees and it can faucet its share with better services and attractive packages. This will help the department to not only overcome its current losses of 10 billion rupees, but also make it an earning institution.

Pakistan post is dedicated to make safe and sound and timely delivery of mail, money and material at the doorsteps of the customers at reasonable charge.

So, the aimed of Electronic Money Order (EMO) service launched for immediate transfer of finances. At further improving the services and to furnish the needs of customers to the doorsteps.
