An international cultural camp was held at Thailand from 16 – 23rd June, 2018 where 3 Pakistanis represented the country among 33 other nations. The camp was organized by Walailak University with support from Ministry of Culture, Thailand. The participants from Pakistan were Muddassir Ayaz Mahmood Chaudhary, Maira Tahir and Subhan Malik.

 

Youngsters and students were selected from 33 countries after a tough selection process. The selected participants presented their cultures through performces. Pakistan’s soft image was made known to the Thai officials as well to the international participants in the opening ceremony and during the camp. The cultural camp also provided engagement and experiencing Thai culture through different activities.

Short lectures on Thai language, Thai Music and Dancing, Food and Thai Boxing provided chance to dress and feel like Thai people. The camp also had sight-seeing visits, river cruise, and beach-combing activities around Nakhon Si Thammarat province while last two days were spent at Bangkok. The Thai Ministry of Culture ensured priority movement on road through police special security and protocol without stoppage even bypassing the traffic signals.

The Pakistani participants portrayed the true picture of Pakistan through their behavior and discussions. They also invited the international participants to visit Pakistan to see the beauty of this motherland.
