STAFF REPORT ISB: Pakistan and Britain have agreed to formulate a “mutual working group” which will comprise high commission and ministrys officials.


This was agreed in a meeting between British High Commissioner Philip Barton and Minister of State for IT Anusha Rahman recently held in Islamabad.According to details, the working group will jointly work out the “priority areas” in ICT where; both countries could collaborate and cooperate.


On the occasion, Anusha said that it was a meaningful meeting with the British minister and we shared profound ideas related to the development of ICT in Pakistan.


She also said that both the countries enjoy strong cordial relations and the UK government engagement with the ministry for enhancement of ICTs in Pakistan will further augment this bond. There are lot of opportunities and areas available in Pakistan, where we can collaborate effectively.


Finally, the British HC agreed with the minister to formulate a “mutual working group” which will be comprising high commission and the ministrys official.


This working group will jointly work out the “priority areas” in ICT where; both the countries could collaborate and cooperate.


The HC assured the active support of his government in the key potential areas of cooperation for the development of ICT sector in Pakistan.
