STAFF REPORT ISB: The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) is making allout for promotion of livelihood and food security in rural areas of the country through various RandD agricultural activities including hands-on training of different agricultural technologies.

Dr. Ehsan Akhtar, Registrar PARC Institute of Advance Studies in Agriculture (PIASA), said this at the inaugural session of the two-day training workshop on “Quality Mushroom Production for Better Livelihood” here at the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) Islamabad.

The event was organized by PIASA-PARC in collaboration with Al-Mustafa Development Network for a diverse group of 25 trainees from different districts of Punjab and AJandK.

On the occasion, Dr. Anjum Munir, Director of Crop Diseases Research Institute (CDR) NARC, Dr. Shehzad Asad, PSO, and Dr. Umar Iqbal delivered lectures about the mushroom production technology, preservation, packaging and different marketing strategies.
