STAFF REPORT ISB: In order to foster the agricultural research and development and promotion of innovative technologies, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and Jobs Trust which is a non-government organization.


Dr Munir Ahmad, Secretary PARC and Shahnaz Akhtar, Chairman Jobs Trust signed the agreement. According to the MoU both organizations will exchange scientific knowledge, expertise, research and lab facilities in order to burgeon the agri sector promotion on which the economy of country banks upon.


Secretary PARC added, “The MoU is of great importance and fruitful results will be yielded as a result of mutual cooperation of both organizations for the promotion and development of agri research.” The agri sector is the backbone of country`s economy and steps like this are imperative for economic uplifting as well as in promotion of research culture and intra organization linkages for synergic effect, he further said.


Both organizations agreed to organize joint technical training workshops for capacity building of Jobs Trust Staff in the field of horticulture. It was also deliberated that National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) will provide technical assistance to Agricultural and Biological Engineering Institute (ABEI).
