STAFF REPORT IBD: Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC), a subsidiary organisation of Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/S Recto International to launch a joint venture under its public-private partnership programme.
Dr Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Director General, PASTIC, and Amanullah Chief Executive Officer (CEO) M/S Recto International signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations, says a press release issued here last week.
PSF Chairman Prof. Dr Manzoor H. Soomro, Executive Director Commercialization Cell MoST Dr Syed Shahid Hussain, PSF Member Finance Riazul Islam, Chief Scientific Officer Farhat Rajpar, Director Planning and Development Dr Rukhshanda Kojab and PASTIC Reprographic Unit Manager Zaheer Nasir were also present on the occasion.
The MoU is aimed at commercialization of PASTIC printing services and enhance its financial resources.
The PSF chief said that commercialization of different services by the public sector organisations was needed to generate revenue for meeting their financial needs in the present days financial crunch. He said public-private partnership is the first step towards commercialization of their services and achieving financial self-sufficiency.
