PTA, ISOC & COMSATS to endow 'Online Interactive Remote Education'

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)  accompanying with Internet Society (ISOC) Asia-Pacific Bureau and COMSATS Internet Services Limited to endow with online interactive remote education to 6thgradestudents of a Government Girls High School in rural Multan; connected last year as part of ISOC’s Wireless for Communities (W4C) program.

The remote education project aimed to make available free extra academic help to students for better understanding of their study material. This enhancement education has been delivered by conveying an exclusive learning experience that is basically different from their all-purpose textbooks.

TeleTaleem, a well-known and knowledgeable tele-education contributor was also hired to bring real-time online lectures of English, Mathematics and Science through an interactive classroom environment from Islamabad.
The content delivered by teachers had been intended to make more use of activities, conceptual approach, substitute education and online resources.

Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, said that the government has always been encouraging of ideas that make the best use of innovative technologies.

The Internet is the core of socio-economic development in future and this project has been introduced so that young girls could competently use the internet.
