Punjab govt signed Mou with China

Shahbaz Sharif the Chief Minister of Punjab held grand reception for Chinese officials. A memorandum was signed between the two countries to cooperate in the energy sector. As per agreement 1320-megawatts, coal power plant will be set up in Rahim Yar Khan with the technical help of Huang Shandong Power General Company. Another memorandum was signed to set up a vocational training institute to locals between Huang Shandong Power General Company Asad-ur-Rehman Gillani Secretary Energy of Punjab government. To cooperate in social responsibility MoU signed by Punjab government and Shandong Ruyi Group.
The reception was attended by Administrator National Energy Administration and Vice Chairman National Development and Reforms Commission China (NDRC) Nur Bekri, Chairman Huang Group of China Cao Peixi, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong, Chairman Rui Energy Group Yafu Qiu and Chinese officials. Provincial Ministers, members of National and Provincial Assemblies, Chief Secretary and Secretaries of different departments also took part in the function.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said. “economic cooperation between Pakistan and China has touched to new heights and opened new paths between the countries. The friendship between Pakistan and China will benefit the economic growth between the two countries. He thanked Chinese for extraordinary cooperation in fighting energy crisis of Pakistan. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is evidence of Pak-China friendship and Pakistanis will never forget this helping hand of friendship.
China has invested 36 billion dollars in the energy sector. As for CPEC despite hardship and hurdles Chinese are working in Pakistan and has completed a gigantic 1320-megawatts Sahiwal Coal Fired Project in 22 months. China has left Pakistan neither at war nor at peace or in any other disaster, China has always helped. A huge number of projects under CPEC are speedily going to completion making Pakistan proud of friendship. He hailed the memorandum on the projects and hope for more bilateral cooperation.
