Leading institution of higher education, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), has another achievement taking it to top 500 universities of the world, reported in Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Four other Pakistani universities enlisted among the top 1,000 in the world naming the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, the National University of Science and Technology and the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad. This year the COMSATS spotted 642, NUST improved its spot four ranking while University of Agriculture in Faisalabad kept its rankings at 803.

Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, President of the QAU Academic Staff Association praised the faculty, staff, students, and alumni of University on achievement. He added that although severe funding constraints, delay in approval of development plans and challenges to its very existence by occupants of a qabza group, QAU had again proved it far better funded national, regional, and international university.

“This is another opportune moment for the government of Pakistan and Higher Education Commission and they should approve a special package for a top university, as QAU stand at the international level. Good ranking is an evidence to the dedication and hard work of the faculty and students” he added.
