Roshni say Zindagi lighten 10,000 homes solar panels

Pakistan is the sixth most populated country in the world, but unluckily 25 percent of the population is still deprived of basic facilities of life. Since we are a consumerist society, the construction of solar panels should start in the country to supply electricity to remote areas.

Roshni say Zindagi lighten 10,000 homes solar panelsPresident of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi, inaugurated the solar power project “Roshni Sey Zindagi” in Karachi. He expressed by adding that solar energy would also decrease the forthcoming threat of global warming.

Hilton Pharma, one of the top pharmaceutical companies of  Pakistan launched “Roshni say Zindagi” under the plan of corporate Social responsibility in two rural areas of Sindh, Baba Bhit Island and Gharo by giving electricity to 10,000 households of marginalized rural communities by solar panels throughout the country over a 3 year period.

Dr Arif Alvi appreciated the efforts of Hilton Pharmaceuticals and said that Pakistan had gone forward than other neighboring countries in producing development projects under corporate social responsibility. “Karachi has never faced any financial issue for development-related projects due to such philanthropists and volunteers.”

Chairman Hilton Pharmaceuticals Muhammad Yasin Malik thanked the president for being the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. At the end he presented memento to Dr Arif Alvi.
