Russian firm shows interest in Pakistan’s electric vehicles industry
ISLAMABAD: Russian based technology firm has showed interest to invest in electric vehicle industry of Pakistan by introducing latest technology called nanotubes.
Delegation led by Igor Kim from Russian technology firm, met Malik Amin Aslam Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change in Islamabad.
While having conversation with the delegation, the federal minister welcomed the investment and said government is concerned regarding the issue of climate change .
He further talked about the taken initiatives in that connection, mainly included the 10-billion-tree tsunami, ban on plastic bags, clean and green drive, focus on electric vehicle policy and green climate fund.
He emphasized that within a couple of weeks, the electric vehicle policy was on the cards and would be approved by the government of Pakistan.
He further elaborates that our government want to make Pakistan a hub for right-hand-drive electric vehicles all across the world and opens new horizons in the areas of research and development and investment.
The Russian delegation valued the efforts of the Pakistan government and showed interest in introducing their products.
Kim said, “nanotube technology was being used in all sorts of materials with scores of objectives from reinforcement to enhancing conductivity”.
He pointed out that their product was microscopic and was widely used in electric batteries, construction material, LED screen, solar panels, plastic, tires, conductors and clothes. They will add to energy efficiency by making it light weight and minimizing energy loses.
