Science mela organized to promote science interest
A two-day science festival for the schoolchildren was arranged in Faisalabad at the Expo-center by University of Agriculture.
This was one of the largest science festival in the city the purpose of this activity is to promote interest in science and math among the students.
The mega science festival was organized by the district authorities including district education authority Faisalabad, district government Faisalabad, Roshan Kinara and Pakistan Alliance for Math and Science. Students from both the private and government schools fully participated in the festival.
More than 6000 students from both private and government schools of Faisalabad displayed different science models. The science festival witness one of the large participation of girl’s school from the region.
Students displayed their talent by exhibited more than 255 science models in the festivals which includes many innovative concepts such as robotics, sensor for disable children, smart lightning control systems mini drones that could carry medicines and aid for the people in need, various products made from recycled material and model of solar city displaying solar panels for greener lifestyle.
The festival was attended by teachers, entrepreneurs, science specialists and government officials who appreciated the work of students participated in the festival.
Students on this occasion said that such event will give us a lot of confident and will help us in practical lives adding that they had learned a lot from the festival.
Teachers while giving their remarks on the festival said such festivals need to be organized more often so that the students are encourage to bring out their best.
