ScientistsSTAFF REPORT IBD: The Pakistan Scientists and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC), Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, has recently organized a three-day training course on the theme of “Art of Scientific Digital Photography with Advanced features”.

The objective of the event was to train the scientists in the field of digital photography for better representation of their research work through professional techniques, an official of the training team said.

Maqsood Ahmed a senior photographer having 30 years of hands on experience in the field of scientific photography was invited as a resource person.

Director General, PASTIC, Dr. Khalil Ahmad Ibupoto inaugurated the training while a number of scientists and researchers from PASTIC, Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH) and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) participated in the training course.

The participants learnt various facets of scientific photography in terms of fixed point and field photography. They practised their learning about the subject in the field through group work.

At the end of the training, certificates were awarded to the participants.
