MONITORING REPORT ISB: A team of three final year students Taihami Tariq, MubarizZaffar and Muhammad Alp Arslan have won the South Asia Triple Helix Association (SATHA) Innovation award for their FYP project Di-Nero.


Supervised by Dr. Hammad M. Cheema, the team has developed a low cost diagnostic device for early detection of diabetic neuropathy. This nerve disorder results in a staggering 2500 limb amputations per day and the 415 Million diabetic patients are all at risk of developing neuropathy at some stage of their lives.The SATHA award rewards significant contribution and value creation made by individuals and organizations.Different scientists from industry and academia participate and submit their innovative technologies to the Jury, followed by review of award committee and selection of top impact making development.
