Farmers advised to start the Sesame cultivation in June and must complete it by mid of July as it is the best time for getting the plentiful crop.
Sesame seed is one of the oldest oil seed crops and the commercial cultivation of this crop is profitable. Keeping its importance in view, development of varieties with high yield potential and oil content is a need of the day.
Therefore, agriculture experts announced that the sesame was playing a dynamic role in meeting the food requirements. Therefore, its cultivation should be made on maximum area by using high quality seeds.
Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) had prepared high quality seeds of different sesame varieties which would be provided to the growers at concessional rates on “first come, first get” basis.
For the betterment of sesame crop all farming community must endorse the quality seeds from AARI.
