STAFF REPORT ISB: A three-day workshop on solar based innovation was organized at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). The workshop included sessions on solar based information evaluations, high accuracy gear establishment, energy frameworks and related production apparatuses.


The experts present in the workshop were of the view that coal power plants filter their emissions, trace amounts of toxic particulates penetrate air filtering systems and enter the atmosphere. Mercury is among the pollutants that enter the air from coal power plant emissions, and it can contaminate local ecological systems and harm plants, wildlife and human inhabitants. Because solar power is emissions-free, it is safer for the environments and communities that neighbor solar panel arrays than are coal power plants.


USPCAS-E Principal Dr Muhammad Bilal Khan, in the interest of NUST’s maestro scholastics, valued the endeavors made by the United States Agency for International Development for advancing improvement in solar technology in such manner.


UET Peshawar Vice-Chancellor Imtiaz Gillani said it was unavoidable that the energy focuses in ASU, NUST and UET will all things considered make answers for the nation’s energy emergency.


The workshop was mutually directed by NUST, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, and Arizona State University (ASU), US under the US-Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) program.
