Space Summer School 2019 begun at IST, Islamabad

The consecutive third Space Summer School of Pakistan begun at Institute of Space Technology (IST) Islamabad under the theme of Space Technology Education and Popularization (STEP).

After successfully completing the two space summer school the third is hosting over 175 students of various schools and colleges of Pakistan are taking part in a two week interactive activity based learning session.

A two-week Space Summer School covering more than 50 interactive sessions in 8 exploration tracks for students of age groups 10 years to 17 years in two levels as in their particular fields.

Moreover, the very interactive lectures, hands on workshops, space career counseling, Dr. Abdus Salam space contest, space creative writing space creative designing, space creative arts, webinars, seminars, solar observations and much more at the Summer School 2019.

IST Director Dr. Najam Abbas in the inaugural of third phase of Space Schooling emphasized on the significance of Space Technology for Pakistan and acknowledged Space Summer School as a significant milestone towards Pakistan Space program. 

Director General SUPARCO, the National Space Agency of Pakistan, Zafar Iqbal appreciated the initiative of IST for creating awareness about space technology among the budding youth and educating the aspirants about the benefits of space technology and its applications.
