STAFF REPORT IBD: Students at Anglo-Oriental School at a recently arranged science exhibition exhibited projects highlighting a variety of issues.
Students from play group to grade 10 showcased their work at the exhibition, which hosted about 50 projects. The themes of the projects varied from environment to education to physics, geography, biology and AIDS, among others. They were given freedom in choosing the themes for their projects, an official of the school administration told the media.
The students, proud of their achievements, were all too happy to oblige curious visitors as they inquired about the displays.
Muhammad Zubair, a grade 7 student, had made a model on pollution. “I have tried to highlight (the issue of) pollution in my model by making factories and brick kilns in the outskirts of the city which are the main polluters,” he said.
Another model on geography, made by three students, was the centre of attraction.
School principal Samia Zafar said, “Main objective of the event was to provide an opportunity to the children to showcase their work by promoting environmental and other issues.”
