STAFF REPORT IBD: The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Accreditation and Quality Evaluation Committee (TAandQEC) has approved as many as 15 institutes in 63 different demand driven disciplines and trades whereas three were decided for revisiting of their assessment. Out of these 63 disciplines/trades, 11 programmes in Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) and 52 programs of Vocational Trades have been approved.


NAVTTC had presented total 18 cases of TVET institutes from the public and private sector before the TAandQEC for accreditation.


The TAandQEC approved these cases at its meeting convened in Islamabad under the directives of Executive Director NAVTTC Capt. Tariq Masud (Rtd). The meeting was held with the technical assistance of GIZ under TVET Reform Support Program co-funded by the European Union, Netherland and Germany.


In her closing remarks, DG (AandC) NAVTTC appreciated the members of TAandQEC for providing their valuable inputs, suggestions and for granting decision on the Accreditation Assessment Reports. She mentioned that with such a vibrant Forum, where people with experience, expertise and knowledge of TVET, are helping NAVTTC in policy making. There is no question that Pakistan is going to make vigorous progress in near future.


It is pertinent to mention here that 23 TVET institutes across the country, from public and private sector in 46 demand driven different discipline/trades have already been accredited with NAVTTC.
