STAFF REPORT ISB: The district administration has prohibited illegal fishing in Rawal Dam and started surprise checking to discourage this trend.
According to a representative of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration, Assistant Commissioner (Secretariat) Waqas Rashid, during checking at Rawal Dam, apprehended two poachers involved in illegal fishing in Rawal Dam.

STAFF REPORT ISB: A project to clean Rawal Lake and Simly Dam faces possible delay as the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has failed to submit a PC-1 of the project to the Finance Ministry.
Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) and civic authorities of the twin cities had agreed in October last to install four water treatment plants at Rawal Lake in the first phase. The ICT was to prepare and submit a PC-1 to the ministry but the plan has not been prepared yet
