STAFF REPORT ISB: SUPARCO in collaboration with UNESCO has organized an international training and workshop on "Safe, connected communities against floods through Remote Sensing and GIS Tools" in Islamabad.
Purpose of the event was to focus on increased reliance on application of satellite remote sensing and GIS technologies for early warning of hazards as floods and others.
Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, and Development Reform, inaugurated the event.
