PAKISTAN IS a habitat to a diverse collection of wildlife ranging from the highest mountain peaks, to the gigantic driest deserts, to a large number of rivers with fresh water and very vast marine environments and to all the places in between these attributes. The plentiful and various wildlife resources, which are crucial to our culture and geographically well-being, face a miserable future if the global warming or climate change is not addressed. The wildlife brought up in healthy habitats. As like the human beings, they also need a range of  optimum temperatures, plenty of fresh water, natural and enriched food sources and places to rear their young ones.

Due to climate change, the primary abodes for wildlifes survival are burning and b
eing engender the  natural resources in danger. The temperature of the globe is rising gradually due to which ice of the poles and arctics is melting and creating tough circumstances for the polar wildlife. Like the polar bears are migrating from their melting habitats. In Pakistan, red-headed vulture, the Green Turtle, Brown Bear, Snow Leopard and the Gharial (a long-snouted crocodilian) are the most-endangered species in the country. Moreover, the population of fish like salmon, trout, Indus blind dolphin and many others is depleting and the excessive coral bleaching is leading towards the destruction of these underwater ecosystems. The current rate of extinction is 100 to 1000 times higher than the average, or background rate, making our current period the 6th major mass extinction in the planets history.

The massive floods have engendered huge soil erosion, reduction in water quality and the destruction of marine abode. Extensive drought stresses are the major factors causing the destruction of flora on which the wildlife resides for food and protection. The availability of food to migratory wildlife species has been affected vigorously due to climate change as the early maturing of food crops and flowering plants and the birds turn up according to schedule but found no food.

Consequently, the climate change is burning the wildlifes abodes, due to which these species are migrating and leaving us. If it will continue, as it is running, one day there will no real story of wildlife. In order to save a species, we must protect and conserve their habitats. And to do this we must take care of the climate change, pollution, and the impacts of human activities like urbanization and deforestation.
