Pakistan’s first mapping company, TPL Maps has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with HERE Technologies the worldwide leader in mapping and location services.

Pakistan’s first mapping service TPL the location based services that are using the capabilities of modern devices, positioning technologies and mobile networks to deliver to the user value added or service based information on his location.

TPL Maps in recent times signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with what3words (w3w), a global multi-award winning location technology company to enable Pakistani consumers to find the way with more meticulousness and accuracy.

The decisive goal of signing the MoU with TPL Maps is for a tactical partnership. The accord is a major step in bringing these solutions to Pakistan and the region, alleged by Stefan Hansen, Senior Vice President and General Manager HERE Technologies, EMEAR region.

Members of both the TPL and HERE met in Berlin to talk about the prospect of a partnership between TPL and HERE. It was then agreed that the two companies would work to establish a product collaboration and technology partnership.

TPL Maps and HERE Technologies will also work on a combined development of a go-to-market strategy in the automotive industry in Pakistan.

Adnan Shahid, CEO TPL Maps emphasized that we are very excited with the collaboration opportunities with HERE Technologies. This MoU is the result of a lot of hard work in developing native Pakistani maps and local proficiency in location-based services.

Pakistan’s online mapping world is dominated by Google Maps with most users using the Google app for navigation purposes. On the other hand, TPL Maps is taking a series of steps to smash into the local globe of online mapping to act as a domestic alternative to Google.

TPL Maps is Pakistan’s first Local digital mapping service that has collected; crowd sourced and maintained the biggest dataset growing in the country and now aimed to improve the location based services with the collaboration of worldwide leader in mapping and location services.
