STAFF REPORT LHR: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha has said that the biostatical training workshop will help hone skills and expertise of professionals to publish them in well reputed national as well as international journals.

He was addressing at the recently held three-week biostatical summer research camp on Developing Research Plan and Proposal. The research camp was organized under Pakistan-US Science and Technology Project on “Establishing a Biostatistical Consulting Center in Pakistan” in collaboration with UVAS and Jackson State University (USA).

Dr. Anwar Ahmad said that the training is comprised of experimental designs, data collection and analysis methodologies, statistical software training, interpretation of results, manuscript development and grant writing.

In his remarks, UVAS VC Prof. Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that it was a great opportunity for young researchers to overcome their deficiencies especially project making, research paper and interpretation of research results to determine impact on research.

He further added that this kind of activities provides opptunities to research on animal population as well as human community. It would help to assess the success of new innovation in applied fields.

He termed it as beneficial for the students and capacity building of the young faculty members. UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha urged the participants be confident and excel their ability in a befitting manner.
