Press Release: Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Pakistan held a pre-departure meeting for the government officials for Country Focused Training program on “Economic Development Strategy” scheduled to be held on June 7th-27th, 2015 in Korea.


The country focused training program aims to provide useful insight and guideline on economic development by sharing Koreas economic development experience and to strengthen policy making and implementation capacity of government officials from Pakistan.


Addressing at the occasion, the Country Director KOICA, Sung Choon-ki welcomed the participant and briefly introduced KOICA and KOICA Alumni activities in Pakistan. After that he shared the handouts of the article written by Korean Ambassador, Dr. Song Jong-Hwan on lesson from Koreans Economic Development in Economist magazine.


He said “Korea unprecedented socio-economic development is marked as miracle of the world. This miracle was done due to visionary leadership, national unity, sacrifices and practical polices which translated dreams into reality. This training will be focused on enhancing vision of you on socio-economic development of Korea and I hope you can learn and apply those lessons on your workplace.”


Muhammad Nawaz Mirza (KAAP Alum) serving as Director to Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, briefly shared his experiences in Korea , its culture and lifestyle. Aqsa Liaquat, participant of the training program also show his deep interest and thankful for the Korean government for offering this much needed training program. Abdul Rahman Khan and Mohsin Khan Program coordinator of KOICA briefly introduced the courses and orientate participants about the logistics of the training program.
