STAFF REPORT ISB: The USAID funded Pakistan Strategy Support Programme (PSSP) and Riphah Institute of Public Policy (RIPP), Riphah International University, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to foster collaboration between the two organizations in the areas of policy research and advice.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Riphah International University, and Prof. Stephen Davies, Chief of Party, Pakistan Strategy Support Program, (PSSP).

The MoU will strengthen the ongoing partnership for evidence-based policy research. It entails future academic cooperation between PSSP and RIPP through; exchange of visiting scholars and research fellow, capacity building activities such as technical training, workshops and seminars, academic information including working papers, research papers, books, magazines and data sets through mutual knowledge sharing network.

In pursuance of this MoU both organizations will work closely towards conducting and sharing quality policy research focusing on agricultural productivity, water management and irrigation, markets and trade and poverty reduction initiatives through policy notes in accordance with the framework of Government of Pakistan.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is the implementing partner of USAID for the PSSP.
