STAFF REPORT ISB: The COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan, has said that it believes higher education institutions need to contribute to the policy and vision of the future of higher education.
With this background the CIIT wanted to explore the reaction of higher education to the proposed post-2015 agenda which is to follow the Millennium Development Goals set to come at par with the developed world.
With the significant influence higher education has in shaping a society, the CIIT brought the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) campaign: “The World Beyond 2015: Is Higher Education Ready?” to Pakistan.
Dr. SaniaNishtar, in his key note address on the occasion, emphasised the need for universities to address national progress and produce indigenous solutions.
