STAFF REPORT LHR: The 7th convocation of Virtual University of Pakistan has recently been held for the graduating students of Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters for Lahore and adjoining areas.Degrees were conferred upon 1908 graduates who successfully completed their Bachelors, Masters and Master of Science programs from the University. A total of 35 Merit Certificates, 5 Gold Medals and 2 Tablets were also awarded to outstanding graduates.


The convocation was attended by dignitaries, academicians and parents of the graduates.In his welcome address, Rector Virtual University, Prof. Dr. Naveed A. Malik, highlighted the achievements of the Virtual University as leaders in education technology, its leading role in delivering quality education to the remotest parts of the county through the use of information communication technologies.He also emphasized on the need to work selflessly for the progress and betterment of the country and for making Pakistani nation, an educated nation.The chief guest, Prof. Dr. Hassan Amir Shah (SI), Vice Chancellor Government College University, Lahore, appreciated the achievements of the Virtual University and also congratulated the successful graduates and high achievers.
