Waqas Ali sparkles in Microsoft Contest

STAFF REPORT ISB: Pakistan brims with exceptional talent in various fields. The youth is playing key role in reflecting a soft image of the country through their immaculate performances in international competitions. The legacy continued as prodigious Waqas Ali hailing from FFC Grammar School, Mirpur Mathelo in Ghotki has secured third place in Microsoft competition for PowerPoint 2013 held at Texas, USA. Waqas was the only participant from Pakistani origin.

Waqas was awarded with Bronze Medal for his outstanding performance including cash award of $1500, an HP tablet and a Parrot Drone. It is pertinent to mention here that over800,000 studentsinitially participated in the qualifying rounds out of which the toppers from different countries were invited to the championship.145 topperswere selected among them from127different countries. Among these 147 toppers, Waqas clinched third position and won a bronze model.

“The hard work has finally paid off and I am privileged on this feat. I deem it as a success for whole nation because I was the only participant from Pakistan. I thank my family, TEC Education Foundation, and all others who stood by me and supported me to full”.
