STAFF REPORT ISB: The federal capital Islamabad would be having a women university in near future which would cater a lot to the need of the higher education needs of the rising population of the city.
According to details, the Islamabad Model College for Girls, F/7-2, will be upgraded to a women university for which formalities will be complete in September.
“The governments medium-term development goals include establishment of a university or a sub-campus in every district by 2017-18,” said Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal while during a meeting recently held at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to review projects under Vision 2025.
The meeting discussed plans for establishment of a federal women university, national skills university and establishment of Seerat chairs in universities across Pakistan.
